Mechanical insulation is insulation applied to a building’s mechanical systems — piping, ductwork, and equipment. It reduces energy loss, prevents condensation on cold surfaces, and helps control noise, keeping high-rise buildings efficient, dry, and comfortable.
Firestopping seals the openings and joints where pipes, ducts, and cables pass through fire-rated walls and floors. Without it, fire and smoke can travel through those gaps. It’s life-safety work required by the building code.
Fire-rated pipe wrap is a specialized material wrapped around piping where it passes through fire-rated walls or floors. It helps the wall or floor assembly maintain its fire rating at the penetration point.
